About Mr. Ivy
Often, as we watch the evening news or participate in a conversation, we hear only negative stories about the up and coming generation. However, as a teacher of middle school students, let me assure you, I see a bright and hopeful future. The students I have the privilege to teach are setting goals to make a positive difference in the world. It is my desire to give all of my students the best tools for meeting their goals and achieving their dreams. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and I have over 30 years of experience in Management, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, and Procurement. Consequently, my students will tell you I am all about business and can get a little excited talking about economics, the stock market, marketing demographics, spreadsheets, presentations, multimedia and desktop publishing software.
I am very biased about the significance of Career and Technical Education for our students. If your child is participating in CTE, be enthusiastic, because the data shows CTE students have the edge in making it successfully to graduation – both high school and college! CTE students are a step ahead when it comes to being competitive in the job market. I am happy to be a part of helping them develop their edge! |
